Philippine Airlines (PAL) Officer-in-Charge Vivienne K. Tan announced the appointments of two key executives who will lead the airline’s commercial and human resources groups. This signals the start of the flag carrier’s transition to new leadership.
In a speech following PAL’s weekly flag-raising ceremony, Ms. Tan introduced Ms. Rosemarie S. Katalbas as Senior Vice President of Human Capital Department and Mr. Eugene Go as Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer.

These industries include electronics manufacturing, solar energy, pharmaceutical, audit and management firm, and financial services. She was awarded the People Manager of the year by the People Management Association of the Philippines and was recently the recipient of the Philippines’ Most Talented Leaders (2018) World HRD Congress.

“We’re working to make PAL more efficient and productive by improving business procedures — how we do things. Most importantly, I call on all of you to stand united as you carry out your duties and responsibilities in PAL,” Ms. Tan said.
She rallied PAL executives and staff to value the wisdom of unity, stressing that “with unity, there is strength and with strength in numbers, we will make PAL succeed together.”
In the same message, Ms. Tan shared an earlier conversation she had with her father, taipan Lucio Tan, where she asked him about his passion and dedication to make PAL succeed. “My father said: PAL is more than just an airline; it represents the country — the Philippines. So I wish to remind all of you: as you carry out your work, your duties, you’re not merely representing the company, but also the country because the Philippines is PAL and PAL is the Philippines,
