Boyzone star Keith Duffy has been rushed to hospital in Thailand forcing the band to perform without him.
Ronan Keating, Mikey Graham, and Shane Lynch performed as a three-piece in Bangkok and took to Twitter to explain 44-year-old Keith’s absence to disappointed fans.
Sharing a photo of themselves on stage earlier today, the Irish boyband wrote: “Keith was taken ill before the gig here in Bangkok this evening and has been admitted to hospital on the advice of the local medical team.
“Our brother will be back on his feet as soon as possible and we thank you for all your wonderful support in the meantime.”
Fans quickly inundated the boys’ page with get well soon messages, praising the remaining men for continuing with the show as planned.
One wrote: “Hope he’s okay! Get well soon, Keith.”
Another added: “Hope he’s back on his feet soon.
“Time to rest for a few days.”
Boyzone are currently in the middle of their 25th anniversary Thank You and Good Night Tour in south east Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
Although billed as the group’s farewell tour, Ronan previously hinted that they could reunite again in the future.
The 41-year-old singer teased that Boyzone’s departure from the music music world is only “for now” – adding that the band has been “parked” so that the members can explore other avenues.
Speaking to the Daily Star, he said: “It’s like spinning plates, we have to park these things so we can be Boyzone today then go back to that [solo music] tomorrow.”
The father-of-three continued: “For now, it’s the end.
“This is it. We are hanging up our dancing shoes.
“Go out on a high – we don’t want it to be a dwindle; we don’t want to be a band that faded out of existence.”
Boyzone first hit the music scene in 1993, taking the charts by storm up until their hiatus in 2000.
The band then reunited in 2007, going on to have widespread success with their new music.
Alongside Ronan, Shane, Mikey, and Keith, Stephen Gately was also an original member of the pop band.
The Irish star tragically passed away from natural causes in October 2009, with his bandmates being left devastated by his death.
