These Airlines Are Offering Kiwi Travellers Deals for Black Friday

Not all airlines jump on the Black Friday bandwagon, but sometimes Kiwi travellers can nab a cheap(er) airfare.

The trick is to be flexible with your dates, and if you can be flexible with your destination too, then you’ll have a better chance at securing a deal.

One thing that can trip up bargain-hunter travellers is booking a cheap flight, only to find accommodation at their destination at a premium, effectively cancelling out any airfare savings. So do your research, look around, (don’t forget to check the terms and conditions of the sale fares) – and you might just be winging your way to a more affordable 2024 holiday.
Qatar Airways’ Black Friday is the airline’s biggest online sales event of the year. It’s offering up to 15% off flights from Auckland to select destinations, including multiple locations around Europe, when using the promo code BF23.

The sale runs until November 28 and is available for travel between November 2023 and 31 October 2024.

Air New Zealand

Air New Zealand’s Grabaseat is offering Black Friday deals for a range of domestic flights such as Auckland to Christchurch for $79, as well as international destinations including Australia, Hong Kong, and Honolulu.

Qantas

Qantas has launched its Asia Red Tail sale with discounted fares from New Zealand to nine key destinations in Asia, including Tokyo, Singapore, Shanghai, Delhi and Seoul.

Qantas also recently boosted its international network out of New Zealand, with new routes and more flights added, including the launch of a daily Wellington to Brisbane service with QantasLink, flights from Auckland to New York increasing from three to four times per week and flights from Christchurch to Sydney increasing from 11 to 14 time per week.

Jetstar

Jetstar has more than 30,000 discounted one-way fares across 15 domestic and trans-Tasman routes.

The four-day sale will include one-way domestic fares from $30 and trans-Tasman fares from $135. Members of Club Jetstar have access to further discounts.
